Hi Mary Ann,
Thanks so much for bringing your group down for a field trip. We received your Thank You note and are pleased that you enjoyed it!
We are very thankful for the beautiful oyster knife gift sets that Sandy Hixson chose for us. In fact, we may use them at an oyster event we have up in Westminster tomorrow.
To follow up on a couple of topics from the field trip:
We'll have two stations at the Oyster Festival in Leonardtown on Oct.19-20--Mandy will be at an educational booth where you will also find Shore Thing merchandise to purchase for gifts (hats, shirts, shuck knives); Brian and Shelly will be shucking in the Oysters, Beer & Wine tent. See attachment and find more details at https:// usoysterfest .com.
Nov. 9th come see us for Oysters and Beers at Tall Timbers Marina Reluctant Navigator where we partner up with Double T Oyster Ranch and serve delicious, locally farmed oysters all sorts of ways! Live Music! Check https://www. talltimbers md.com and their Facebook page as the date approaches for more info. New this year....A limited number of VIP tickets available!! A portion of the proceeds go to support our Veterans through Patuxent Habitat for Humanity!!
Also, someone at the field trip asked me about the Marylanders Grow Oysters program. You should be able to find out more information by contacting Bob Lewis via www.smrwa.org.
Please remember to contact us if you are interested in an our oyster floats. Many of our customers purchase them before December 31st in order to take advantage of the 502CR Maryland Tax Credit in 2019 (and then they are eligible again in 2020).
There is a lot of information on our website and of course you may feel free to contact us if you have questions or would like more information.
We haven't counted your tank of spat-on-shell yet. We've taken a few peeks and have been surprised that we haven't seen a whole bunch of little spat considering how great the setting conditions were. We'll keep a lookout.
Thanks for visiting and taking an interest. Now it's your job to pass on the knowledge!!
