Plant Sale Notice

Message from Sharyn Suiter:
PLANT SALE

My husband, Gary, has started a small nursery and is having a plant sale this Saturday morning from 8:00 am – 12:00 pm for you and your quest. He has several varieties of Hens and Chicks, lots of Alpines, all colors of azaleas – all for $4.99 each and PJM rhododendrons for $5.99.

He also has several types of Japanese Maples from $39 to $59 and perennial “Summer Snow” Gardenia plants ($19.95). These gardenias are hardy to zone 6 so they should be fine in our area.

He is home most every day – just call before making the trip. Please do not hesitate to call us with any questions.

Landscape Design School Course II

Attached is the flyer/registration for Landscape Design School Course II.

There are no prerequisites, and the course is open to anyone, even if they did not take Course I. Participants may attend Day 1, Day 2, or both days; and taking the exam is not a requirement.

The attached flyer contains a detailed description of topics covered as well as a registration form.

Flowers and Plants, May Day Baskets, Native Perennials, Cut Flowers, Garden Shed Treasurers & More

A seventy-year tradition continues as Four Rivers Garden Club announces its 70th Annual May Mart in downtown Annapolis on Friday, May 1, 2015. The sale will be held rain or shine at City Dock next to the Market House.

The Four Rivers Garden Club's mission to encourage the knowledge and love of gardening and floral design is supported by this wonderful annual event in Historic Downtown Annapolis. The Club’s earliest flower and plant sales began in 1935 in front of the County Courthouse on Church Circle. This year’s growing legacy event coincides with May Day and the display of May Baskets throughout the unique neighborhoods of Annapolis.

The Club will offer for sale native perennials, local garden favorites, herbs, cut flowers, and garden shed treasures. May Day baskets will be available for pre-order or for sale the day of the event. A workshop for May Basket creation will take place at 9:00am on May 1st for $25 including supplies.

Four Rivers Garden Club is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization committed to civic and community gardening. All proceeds from this event will benefit community gardening projects.

Four Rivers Garden Club is a member of the Federated Garden Clubs of Maryland, Inc., District II, and the National Garden Clubs, Inc., Central Atlantic Region.
